Export a visual's data

Any data-bearing visual can export what it is currently showing to Excel — with the filters, slicers and cross-filters currently applied. What you see is what you get, which is usually the point: people ask for "that table, as a spreadsheet".

Export a visual as an image

Any chart can be saved as a PNG for a slide or a document.

Export the dashboard

A whole dashboard can be exported as a PDF, page by page, preserving the layout.

What export respects

Exports run through the same access rules as the screen. A viewer under row-level security exports only the rows they can see — the export path is not a way around a filter.

Embedded views are excluded from data export deliberately, so a public embed cannot be used to download the underlying dataset.
